Probate Court

Source: Alton Telegraph, July 19, 1883

Constantune Kreuzer, of Helvetia, gives new bond in $4,650, as guardian of Volentine Kreuzer and others.
Catharine Hoffmann resigns as administratrix of Fridolin Hoffmann, of Helvetia, and Jos. C. Ammann is substituted, who qualifies.
Orson Hewitt accepts letters as guardian of Maggie and Wm. Brice.
Martin Bauer has settlement as guardian, showing due to Caroline Bauer, $1,550, to Mary Bauer $1,536.48 and to William Bauer $1,543.15.
Robert Suppiger receives letters as administrator of Martin Wies, of Helvetia, to fill the place of C. Boeschenstein, deceased.
John A. Marcum appears in court and gives receipt to H. S. Pettingill for all moneys, and said Pettingill is discharged as guardian.
Ed Boeschenstein, administrator of Charles Boeschenstein, of Highland, has settlement, as such administrator; so far as relates to estate of Martin Wies. By such settlement there is shown to be due to estate of said Wies $2,500, which sum he passed over to R. Suppiger, the present administrator of Wies, and files the voucher therefore.
Administrator of Margaret Hilbert, of Saline, makes an account of the condition of the estate, showing the personal estate to be insufficient for payment of debts, deficiency of $1,956.15.
The administratrix of Therese Friesse, of Marine, files appraisement bill, showing value of personal estate to be $530.25, and of the child's award $690.
The administratrix of William Hilmer, of Nameoki, shows that the whole estate amounted to $949.75; subject to mortgage. That the award of the widow was estimated at $1,370; that she paid the funeral and administration charges, and applied the balance on the widow's award; and there being no estate to apply towards debts, she is discharged as administratrix.
