BERNARD 'BEN' JOSEPH DREXELIUS

This picture was taken at Schoolery Studio in Alton, Illinois. Date - probably about 1900.

Bernard was born in Mitchell, Madison County, IL on March 17, 1884.

He was a veteran of WWI, and a tailor and carpenter by trade.

He married Anastacia Rosalia Depke in 1905.

This picture was taken in August, 1939 in downtown Alton on Third Street.

These Drexelius sisters are daughters of Bernard Drexelius, pictured on left.

Cecelia married Leonard Nestle, and Bernadine married Emmett Porter.
