The two children on the left are Herman CHRIGGER (1917-1942) and his sister Clara (still living, as far as I know). Center is my aunt, Ethel WESTERHOLD (1920-1951). Right are my uncle, Arnold (back) and father, Walter (front). Picture was probably taken about 1925, on the August CHRIGGER farm.

Ethel M. WESTERHOLD

This is a studio portrait from very late 1920 or very early 1921, which makes it 83 or 84 years old. The print I have is embossed "A. H. Strebler Studio / 133? Main Street / Edwardsville". The subject is my late aunt, Ethel M. WESTERHOLD. She's supposed to be about 9 months old.   --submitted by: Marsha Ensminger

Wilfred GUSEWELLE and Ethel M. WESTERHOLD

This is my late aunt again, this time on the occasion of her wedding. Ethel M. WESTERHOLD (1920-1951) and her husband, Wilfred GUSEWELLE (1914-1995) on 25 April 1943, probably in St. John's E & R (now UCC) church in Wood River (that's where the wedding was). The couple's attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Crabtree (1912-1982), brother-in-law and sister of the groom. Mrs. Crabtree would have been Verna M. Gusewelle (1918-1999).     -- submitted by: Marsha Ensminger
